Starting on June 14, the A O Show, a critically acclaimed "new circus" show produced by Ho Chi Minh City-based Lune Entertainment, will come to 60 European theaters under an agreement with the French theater Scène Nationale de Sénart.
It is the first time a Vietnamese private entertainment company has worked with an international partner to bring a local show abroad.
It is scheduled that the first tour will come to France and Greece from June 14 to July 4, and the second tour will take place in 20 French cities from November 8 to February 4, 2016.
There would be a total 90 performances in 2015, while the schedule for the next two years is being planned.
Jean-Michel Puiffe, director of Scène Nationale de Sénart, said in a press conference Monday in Ho Chi Minh City that he believed the show will be a hit in Europe since it is very special and unique.
It showcases Vietnamese cultural aspects found all the way from a simple village to a modern city within just one hour, he said.
The uniqueness lay in its concept and music and the use of bamboo, he added.
The A O Show was first introduced to HCMC audience in February 2013. It has been listed among the best shows in the city, with 400 performances and 90,000 tickets sold.
The show, which was on regularly at the Saigon Opera House, will be replaced by two new shows named Lang Toi (My Village) and Suong Som (The Mist).
