Vietnamese film week in US kicks off
Vietnamese films will be screened at the Vietnamese Film Week in the US from July 4 to 8, as announced by the Vietnam Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The week will feature six films: ‘Winning jackpot’ by Dustin Nguyen, ‘Thang Long Aspiration’ by Luu Trong Ninh, ‘The Children of the Village’ by Nguyen Duc Viet, Blind Knights’ by Luu Huynh, and ‘Scandal’ and ‘Scandal 2’ by Victor Vu.

They will be screened at Doris Duke, Freer and Sackler Galleries and AMC cinemas in Honolunu, Washington, DC, and New York City.

The films, reflecting the history, culture and people of Vietnam, have won many prestigious awards both in Vietnam and abroad.

During the week, a video clip promoting famous natural landscapes and cultural heritages in Vietnam will also be screened in the three cities.

On the occasion, an Ao Dai festival and a party introducing the culture and cuisine of Vietnam will also be held.

The Vietnamese Film Week in the US is part of activities to mark the 20th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic ties.
