Hue reopens ancient imperial relic
The Hue Relics Preservation Center has inaugurated the Thai Binh Lau (Royal Library) in the Hue Citadel (Dai Noi) after upgrading since 2010 at a total cost of VND17 billion.

Thai Binh Lau was built in 1887 under the reign of King Dong Khanh. It was restored from 1919 to 1921.

The Royal Library was the pavilion where the kings came for reading and resting. It has become one of the important architectures in the ancient citadel complex with palaces, strongholds and temples in Hue Imperial City from the Nguyen dynasty since the early 19 th century.

On the occasion, an exhibition featuring 100 photos and documents presenting the revival and the value of Hue relics was kicked off.
